The top note was sweet. When that died back after about 5 minutes what was left behind was honeysuckle. Clean, true, fresh, bright honeysuckle. Four hours on and it's mellowed a bit, but it's still there. The notes say the basenote is Orris root, " powdery earthy rooty scent, with woody, violet flower nuances" and OK, seems right enough. We'll say that's what's balancing the honeysuckle for the afternoon part of this now closer to the skin scent experience.
